Paper Clips ≠ Staples
At first glance, grabbing a box labeled “STAPLES” seems like a no-brainer if you need, well, staples. But the devil is in the details—or in this case, the fine print. What this person ended up buying were 100 paper clips, not the staples their stapler so desperately needed. A harmless mix-up, but a hilarious one when you’re mid-task and nothing’s getting stapled.
It’s actually easy to sympathize with the confusion. The bold branding and red packaging scream “grab me now,” and unless you squint at the tiny text underneath, the mix-up is almost inevitable. Hopefully next time they’ll double-check the box—or maybe just accept that their stapler’s going on an unexpected vacation.
