27. Oliver Reed – Gladiator (2000)
Oliver Reed died of a heart attack in 1999 after a drinking competition while filming in Malta. He had been playing Antonius Proximo in Gladiator.
The film was completed with CGI and a body double. Reed received a posthumous BAFTA nomination for his powerful performance in the Oscar-winning epic.
