11. The Rubber Morning Star
Even if a weapon is made of rubber, its appearance can be enough to cause a security alert. A passenger tried to board with a “morning star” prop that looked incredibly realistic on the X-ray monitor.
Because security teams rely on silhouettes to identify threats, anything that resembles an ancient mace will be flagged. It’s a good reminder that if an item looks dangerous to an X-ray tech, it’s going to cause you a major headache at the gate.
