13. The “Explosive” Literature
What looked like a sophisticated explosive device to an X-ray scanner turned out to be nothing more than a book. However, the “book” had been modified to look like a booby trap, which led to an immediate security intervention.
Bringing items that intentionally mimic explosives is a recipe for disaster. Not only will the item be confiscated, but you’ll likely spend your travel day being questioned by authorities rather than enjoying your flight.
