37. Oversized Scissors
Regular scissors with blades under four inches are generally allowed, but “ceremonial” scissors are a different story. An agent at Nashville International Airport confiscated a massive pair intended for a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
These oversized blades are clearly weapons in the eyes of the TSA. If you’re opening a new business at your destination, make sure the giant scissors are securely packed in your checked luggage.
