Ojuela Bridge (Mexico)
Once used as a passage to the Ojuela gold mine, this bridge is located in the state of Durango, Mexico. After the gold mine was depleted, the bridge was abandoned and fell into disuse. However, it gained popularity thanks to tourists, photographers, and extreme sports enthusiasts visiting the ruins of Ojuela. Of course, repair work has been carried out to prevent accidents and ensure safe passage.
The swaying suspension bridge is quite thrilling and a tourist attraction in itself. According to someone who actually crossed it, the degree of deflection of the bridge created a feeling of being in a “weightless space.” Furthermore, the surrounding sharp cliffs add to the adrenaline rush. You might feel like Indiana Jones on an adventure.
