Mystery Bridge (Indonesia)
Before online classes became common, students had their own ways of getting to school. Some took buses or other public transportation, while others walked. But walking to school didn’t always mean strolling through parks or along well-maintained sidewalks. Some kids even had to cross suspension bridges every day to get to class.
There are many suspension bridges around the world, but the “Mystery Bridge” in Indonesia is, as the name suggests, mysterious and thrilling. When it was first built, it had ropes on both sides of the decking, providing the same stability as other suspension bridges. But now, only one side hangs, making it look dangerously close to collapse. Even so, local children routinely cross this bridge every day to get to school.
