18. The Beehive Incident
One of the most bizarre security questions ever recorded involved a woman trying to bring her grandmother’s bees on a plane. The bees were sealed in a can, but the buzzing sound was loud enough to confuse the agents.
The TSA ended up leaving the final decision to the airline. While the bees were technically contained, the risk of them escaping in the pressurized cabin was too high for comfort. It was a firm “no” from most observers.
