Teenager Goku sets out to find the legendary Dragon Balls to prevent the evil Lord Piccolo from taking over the world, teaming up with Bulma and Master Roshi in a live-action adaptation filled with martial arts and fantasy.
The adaptation is eviscerated for whitewashing, butchering the manga’s spirit, terrible effects, and wooden acting. The plot is rushed and nonsensical, with poor fight choreography and no heart. It’s infamous as one of the worst anime adaptations ever, earning fan backlash and Razzies for disrespecting the source material.
