Even with her father’s blood slowly dripping into her veins, Lily wasn’t out of the woods just yet. The doctors continued to closely monitor her for any changes, good or bad. If the transfusion showed any signs of making things worse, it would have to be aborted. But it also seemed to be Lily’s only chance at a successful recovery. This virus was like nothing any of them had seen before.
