Reaching Boiling Point
Oscar and Hilly both felt like they’d been demanding answers all day, only to be ignored by people who all seemed to know something they didn’t. The eggs were found in their house, and it was their daughter who had been infected, so why all the secrecy? Both parents had reached boiling point now they could see what was at risk: their beloved daughter. Vague answers were no longer good enough.
Alex told them it was because they didn’t want to promise the distressed parents anything, but things had gone too far. This day had been a complete nightmare, and they just wanted it to end.
