Job Hunting and Life Changes

After graduating from college, Nadia started working as a psychiatric assistant at Metropolitan State Hospital in Norwalk, California. For three years, she poured her heart into supporting patients with mental illness. She approached them with kindness, but it was also a high-stress job, apparently. She worked hard until the very end and took pride in her work.

However, one day, a patient knocked over a desk, which hit Nadia in the back and caused a herniated disc. The intense pain forced her to quit her job. Afterwards, she received a $170,000 settlement. This was a huge help since her medical insurance was inadequate. The sudden accident became a major turning point in her life.
