Jell-O and other packaged gelatins might seem like a tasty afternoon snack. When you don’t want to hurt your teeth, it can feel like the perfect dessert. However, it’s one of the biggest dessert choices that someone over 60 should avoid. These snacks are high in artificial flavors and sugar, which is bad for your body. But that’s not all. Artificial flavors can contain things called carcinogens. This, combined with the gelatin, can lead to serious metabolic problems, including weight gain.
