Back in the day, there was this wild practice called “mellification” where they’d dunk bodies in honey for decades. After, like, a hundred years or so, the preserved corpse was thought to turn into some kind of medicinal candy.
Yeah, some folks actually believed that eating this “honey human candy” could cure ailments or fix broken bones. Even with all the fancy modern medicine we have now, it’s kinda hard to wrap your head around the fact that such a bonkers idea ever existed.
