Seven Mile Bridge (USA)

The Seven Mile Bridge is located in Florida, USA, and boasts an impressive length of 10.887 km (approximately 6.76 miles). To put that into perspective, the Tokyo Bay Aqua-Line, considered the longest bridge in Japan, is only 4,425m long. The Seven Mile Bridge is renowned not only for its length but also for the stunning scenery surrounding it. The coral reefs that stretch out on both sides of the bridge are particularly beautiful, resembling a paradise, and it’s a popular location for commercials and film shoots.

Interestingly, there are actually two bridges that make up the Seven Mile Bridge. One is the bridge on the left, which is open to automobile traffic. The bridge on the right is a railway bridge constructed between 1909 and 1912, and trains ran on it from 1913 to 1935. Although it’s no longer open to car traffic, a section of about 1 km on the western side of the bridge is open to the public, allowing pedestrians to stroll freely.
