Rita Wilson’s Dress

Rita Wilson’s dress is… a lot, from top to bottom—and thankfully it’s cut like a miniskirt, so there isn’t much of it to process. It feels less like a wedding dress and more like a craft store had a dramatic meltdown. Between the mid-thigh length and the puzzling neckline, it’s hard to know where to focus. Still, credit where it’s due: the couple looks genuinely happy, and that counts for something.
And then there’s whatever is happening around the hips. The ruffles alone are doing her no favors, making everything look far wider than necessary, while the tulle wrapping adds another layer of confusion. Strip away the excess fabric and chaos, and this dress might actually be kind of cute—or at least much less overwhelming.
