Bracing Himself
Though he was desperate to see her, Oscar was also bracing himself for the worst. He didn’t know what condition his daughter would be in. As they walked towards her room, Alex told him that doctors needed to run more tests to fully understand the virus and how it was affecting his daughter. The team had been working tirelessly to try and get to the bottom of things, but it was clearly all unknown territory for them.
Outside the door, Oscar paused. He took a deep breath and tried to mentally prepare for whatever was waiting on the other side of the door. But he knew he had to get to his daughter.
