The Best Dad
If you’re looking at the gentleman in the red shirt in the center of the screen, or maybe the guy holding the massive beer, you’re actually looking in the wrong place. The real hero of this picture is the dad down in the lower left. This dad instinctively throws his arm out to protect his child from taking a baseball bat to the face. That right there is dedication to fatherhood.
With thousands of baseball games happening every year, it’s not often that moments like this are captured. But when they are, you can bet that professional photographers don’t miss snapping that precious instant. For example, a child completely unaware of what’s happening, being saved from a bat at the last possible second.
