#12: You Don’t Get it
Amen to that! Whenever I hear someone say, “Americans are XYZ,” I can’t help but roll my eyes. Like, have you ever looked at a map? We’re a massive country with a diverse population spread across six time zones. It’s like trying to say everyone in Europe is the same, which we all know isn’t true.
Sure, there are some things that are uniquely American, like our love of fast food and oversized portions. But there’s so much more to us than that… The next time someone tries to generalize about Americans, just remember that we’re a complex and multifaceted bunch. And don’t forget to mention our deep love of ranch dressing.
