“Reduced Sugar” Doesn’t Mean Healthy
“Reduced sugar” sounds good—but it doesn’t mean the product is low in sugar, just that it has less than the original version. Some “reduced sugar” items still contain shockingly high amounts of sweeteners, artificial or otherwise.
It’s a labeling loophole that makes unhealthy foods sound nutritious. Worse, many manufacturers swap sugar with synthetic substitutes or starches that have their own health drawbacks. If you’re watching sugar for medical reasons, always check the grams—not the marketing.
