NIGHT’S CHILL
This image showcases a different side of scenic beauty: an icy and frigid environment. While many associate the term “desert” with hot, sandy areas, picturing dunes and pyramids, the term can also apply to colder locales.
By definition, a desert is a dry, sparsely vegetated region. Cold deserts also exist worldwide, such as the Katpana Desert in Skardu, Pakistan. A well-known cold desert is the Gobi Desert, spanning across China and Mongolia, recognized as the sixth-largest desert in the world.
