I Dropped My Phone in the Toilet and Now It’s Crying
A woman in Maine made a frantic 911 call after dropping her smartphone into the toilet. She claimed it was “screaming in pain” from water damage and feared it was “suffering.”
Turns out, the “screaming” was just a Siri alarm glitching out as the phone short-circuited. Officers advised placing the device in rice, not calling emergency services. The phone didn’t survive, but the story did.
