“John, what are you doing?” is probably what every viewer thought when they saw this encounter at the 2015 Oscars. John Travolta clearly wanted to make sure that Idina Menzel heard his words that he was mumbling on stage, and she certainly did.

Menzel did her best to ignore the overly intimate interaction that was happening in front of a huge audience – but Travolta wouldn’t let her go. It’s no surprise that he was later criticized for this inappropriate behavior. One hopes he made an effort to check on Menzel’s well-being.
