Taking The Risk

The McCaugheys knew the odds weren’t exactly in their favor. At the time, only around 40–50 septuplet pregnancies worldwide had ever resulted in birth, and even fewer had made it past infancy. But they weren’t ones to back down from a challenge.

Fueled by hope, prayers, and probably a fair amount of snacks, Bobbi committed to the pregnancy. They believed if one set of septuplets had survived before, then maybe—just maybe—lightning could strike twice.
