In 2006, The WB premiered “Modern Men,” a sitcom featuring Eric Lively, Josh Braaten, and Max Greenfield as three friends seeking romantic guidance from life coach Dr. Victoria Stangel, portrayed by Jane Seymour.
Despite the involvement of producer Jerry Bruckheimer, the series faced harsh criticism; the San Francisco Chronicle labeled it “stupid and annoying,” while Deseret News deemed it “the least funny ‘comedy’ of the year.” The show garnered a low 14% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
