In Dubai, people love to flaunt their wealth – and that includes their smartphones. The “Caviar” Tsar series from 2019 is a prime example. These luxury devices are made from real gold and symbolically represent the seven emirates of the UAE. With a hefty price tag of around $37,000, these gadgets are definitely not for everyone.
Do people actually use such a phone to make calls, or is it just for showing off? Perhaps it’s better suited as a status symbol on a gold platter. For most of us, it’ll probably remain a luxury item that we prefer to admire from afar.
