Andrea Sawatzki really hit the big time back in 1997 with the film The Pharmacist, directed by Rainer Kaufmann. That role opened a ton of doors for her, and she later found success in the crime series Tatort (Crime Scene) as well as the comedy series Familie Bundschuh (The Bundschuh Family), where she not only starred but also wrote the script.

Besides acting, Sawatzki is also busy as an audiobook narrator and author. She’s a mom to two sons, Bruno and Moritz Berkel, with her partner and fellow actor, Christian Berkel. They’ve been together since way back in 1998, and after all those years, they finally decided to tie the knot in 2011. They’re celebrating their 21st anniversary this year, and here’s hoping their love story continues for many years to come.
