Bringing in Backup
Before he could issue a proper explanation, backup arrived. A whole team in white suits and masks entered the house, heading straight up to the bedroom to get to work. They began moving things around Lily’s room, making space to move the bed. But when it was lifted, they had the same shocked reaction as everyone else. There were five large, warm eggs underneath, and now they could see them up close.
The team inspected the eggs and began discussing the situation in serious voices. Oscar tried but failed to hear what they were saying. But it seemed like they knew for sure what was happening.
