The Virus
The eggs seemed to have passed on a virus to Lily, which was what had caused her illness. Whatever it was, it was dangerous and potentially contagious. Before he could see his daughter, Oscar would need to undergo blood tests to ensure that he hadn’t been infected, too. As it was his only option, he agreed. Another man took his blood, and Oscar paced restlessly as he awaited the results.
One hour later, the results came back. Luckily for him, Oscar hadn’t been infected by the eggs, and he was free of any virus. This meant he was one step closer to being reunited with his family.
