“Did Someone Say Buffet?”

If you dreamed of nightly candlelit dinners and gourmet menus, prepare for a slight adjustment. Most meals on a cruise are served buffet-style to feed the masses efficiently. It’s practical, not posh—and you may find yourself dodging elbow-to-elbow crowds in pursuit of scrambled eggs or pasta.

While the food is usually decent, it’s not exactly fine dining. Specialty restaurants with elevated cuisine do exist—but they come with an extra fee. So bring your appetite, but maybe lower your culinary expectations.
