Cheese Rolling Festival – England
Every spring in Gloucestershire, dozens of brave (or reckless) people chase a wheel of cheese down a terrifyingly steep hill. The first person to reach the bottom wins the cheese—and probably a few bruises. The Cooper’s Hill Cheese-Rolling Festival is world-famous for its wild visuals and inevitable wipeouts.
Though technically “unofficial” due to safety concerns, the event continues year after year. Some participants wear costumes, while others come purely for the thrill. Injuries are common, but that’s all part of the spectacle. It’s a rolling testament to British eccentricity, where dairy and danger go hand in hand.
